Welcome to The Emotional Abyss Blog!
I’m Lori L. Evans, the author of the book The Emotional Abyss: overcoming the traumatic teen years with poetry.
Dear Readers,
I’m delighted you’ve found your way to my book blog. This book is very special to me, and I hope to share the excitement around its conversation with you here.
My blog is a place for us to share our experiences with emotions and mental health. I’ll be using this blog to have meaningful discussions with the TEA Community, expanding on the topics in The Emotional Abyss [TEA]. For example, first love, heartbreak, betrayal, bouncing back, and taking care of yourself. I want this to be a safe space for anyone interested in joining the conversation and adding to it. As time passes, I hope we’ll get to know each other through expressing ourselves with words.
In the meantime, if you can, get yourself a copy of the book then share your thoughts about it. You may use these three questions as prompts to get started: a) What did you think of The Emotional Abyss? b) What questions do you have for me? c) How do you relate to my book?
Also, discrimination is not welcomed. If you want to participate, you must do so respectfully. All comments will be moderated, which means your first post will need to be approved. Thanks for your patience and understanding with any delays. (I am a full-time GRAD student at UF.)
More importantly, this blog is for the TEA Community, so feel free to let me know what kind of content you’re interested in reading or watching. Looking forward to hearing from you, so drop me some words!
